What is Astro Egyptian Numerology?
What on Earth is Astro Egyptian Numerology — and How is it Different from Tarot and Astrology?
I know. The name alone raises eyebrows. Astro Egyptian Numerology. It sounds like something you'd find buried in an ancient tomb alongside a crystal ball and a star map. And honestly? It kind of is — and that's exactly why I love it.
First — How Did I Even Find This?
I have always felt a pull toward numerology. Even when I thought it was nerdy and weird and that everyone else would find it boring or just plain quackery — I loved it. I took every class, course, and certification I could find. And those rabbit holes? They led me to Tarot, astrology, crystals, meditation, cleansing herbs — and eventually to my very own brick and mortar space dedicated to all of it.
But through all of that searching, through every modality I explored, I always came back to numerology. And eventually that search landed me squarely in the world of Astro Egyptian Numerology.
Doesn't it just sound divine?! It's all that, and more. I promise.
So … What Actually Is It?
Astro Egyptian Numerology is one of the oldest self-knowledge systems in the Western world. Its roots stretch back thousands of years to ancient Egypt and the mystery schools of that era, where sacred knowledge was encoded, protected, and passed down through generations. It’s a practice that now blends ancient Egyptian spiritual concepts of numbers and the stars with contemporary numerology principles.
Here's the part that blew my mind when I first discovered it: that ordinary deck of 52 playing cards sitting in your kitchen junk drawer? It is not an accident. It is a sacred calendar hiding in plain sight!
The numbers are all deliberate.
52 cards = 52 weeks in a year
4 suits = 4 seasons
13 cards per suit = 13 lunar cycles
Add up every card value in the deck and you get 364. The Joker? That's your extra day, totaling 365 days = 1 year.
This knowledge is believed to have traveled through ancient mystery schools, carried forward through trade routes and the hands of traveling people, known as keepers of wisdom and card reading traditions. By the time playing cards appeared in Europe in the 14th century, the sacred system was already woven into them.
Okay But... How Is This Different from Tarot?
Such a good question — and the one I get asked most. Because when most people hear "card reading," they think Tarot. And I get it. Tarot is beautiful, powerful, and deeply intuitive. I work with it too.
The difference is Tarot uses a deck of 78 illustrated cards drawn intuitively in response to a question or a moment. The cards that come up, their positions, and the reader's intuition weave together to offer guidance. It's fluid, it's responsive, and no two readings are ever quite the same. Think of Tarot as a conversation — one you initiate when you need insight.
Astro Egyptian Numerology is something else entirely. Your birth date determines your card — permanently. You were born into it. And from that card, an entire map of planetary energies and yearly cycles is calculated mathematically. No intuition required. No shuffling. Just your birthday and a system so precise it still gives me chills.
And What Does "Astro" Mean If It's Not Astrology?
I completely understand the confusion. The word Astro makes most people think of zodiac signs, rising signs, natal charts — the whole beautiful world of Western Astrology. And while Cardology and astrology share a language, they are not the same thing.
Traditional astrology tracks the actual movement of planets across the sky — it needs your birth time, date, and location to build your chart, and it continues to follow planetary transits throughout your life.
Cardology uses planetary symbolism. Each card in your spread is governed by a planet but it isn't watching the sky. It's working with planetary energies as archetypes woven into the mathematical structure of the card system itself. Mercury for communication. Venus for love. Mars for drive. Saturn for lessons. These planets represent qualities and themes, not positions.
Why Does This System Mean So Much to Me?
Because it changed my life. Genuinely.
This system helped me get on track like nothing else ever had. It opened my eyes to the cycles of life — the ebbs, the flows, the years meant for building and the years meant for letting go — and it gave me permission to stop fighting the current and start flowing with it. That's it. That simple. And yet profoundly life-changingly.
It fills my heart like nothing else to be able to share this with you — especially if you're feeling stuck, trapped, depleted, or like you've lost your way. Sometimes all it takes is one reading, one look at your blueprint, to shift your entire perspective and catapult you back toward yourself, the breakthroughs you were meant to have and the goals you were meant to accomplish.
Your card has been waiting for you your whole life. It knows you better than you think.
